Most demographics are consistent among the ESRD populations. There is a substantial difference between ESRD+DM and ESRD-DM for MetS, which can be attributed to the fact that insulin resistance is one of the criteria for MetS. Age and BMI are similar in all three TJA populations, while HTN, MetS and gender are different in TJA+DM compared to TJA-DM.
