PBMC or colon cancer cells (105/ml of CM) were incubated for 24 hrs in the absence or presence of budesonide at concentrations as indicated. At the end of the incubation period XTT test was carried on according to the manufacturer's instructions. The plates were incubated for 2-4 hrs at 37 ℃ in a humidified incubator containing 5% CO2 and the absorbance was measured at 450 nm using ELISA reader. The results are expressed as the Mean ± SEM of 6 experiments. Asterisks represent statistically significant difference from cells incubated without budesonide (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01).
