Inclusion criteria

1.                   Patients with history of grade 1 or 2 otorrhea (Merchant classification) but now dry for 6 weeks.

2.                   Patients with non-traumatic tympanic membrane perforation.

Exclusion criteria

1.                   History of previous middle ear & mastoid surgery

2.                   History of current or previous squamous disease in middle ear & mastoid

3.                   Age younger than 8 years or older than 75 years.

4.                   Refusal to give consent to participate in the study.

5.                   The only hearing ear.
