A mangled limb in a pediatric patient produces therapeutic dilemma whether to amputate or salvage greater than in adult. We herein present a case of a 10 year old child with high energy injury to both lower limbs. The bone muscle and skin segment of the limb planned for amputation has been used as a 'spare part' for the contralateral shin defect in order to save at least one weight bearing limb. We report a case of widespread unilateral drusen in a healthy 31 year old Caucasian woman using multi-modal imaging including ultra-high resolution optical coherence tomography (UHR-OCT).
