What is Blooket?
Blooket is a free, game-based learning platform used in classrooms. A teacher picks a set of questions and a game mode, and students answer questions to earn points, gold or upgrades in the game. Players use cute characters called Blooks. A Blooket play session can be a live game the whole class joins at once, a homework assignment, or a solo practice game.
There are three different Blooket addresses, and mixing them up is the most common reason people get stuck:
- play.blooket.com is where you join a game with a Game ID.
- id.blooket.com/login is the Blooket login page for your account.
- www.blooket.com is the main site where teachers create sets and host games.
Blooket join, play, login or host: where to go
Blooket join: how to join a live game
When your teacher hosts a game, they'll show a Game ID, a QR code and a join link on the board. Here's the real join page:
- Open play.blooket.com in any web browser, on a laptop, Chromebook, tablet or phone.
- Type the Game ID (box 1). Blooket Game IDs are 7 digits long.
- Press the arrow (2) or Enter.
- Enter a nickname. If your teacher has turned on random names, Blooket gives you one instead.
- Pick your Blook and wait in the lobby until the teacher starts the game.
Faster ways to join: scan the QR code with your phone or tablet camera, or click the join link your teacher shares. Both take you straight to the right game without typing the ID.
You don't need an account to join. Only log in first (the Log In link, 3) if you want to earn tokens and XP and use the Blooks you've unlocked. On a phone, Blooket join works the same way:
Game already started? You can only join late if the host has switched on Allow Late Joining. If you can't get in, ask your teacher.
Blooket play: homework and solo games
Blooket homework
Blooket join for homework doesn't use a Game ID. Your teacher shares a homework link or QR code instead:
- Open the homework link or scan the QR code.
- Select Get Started.
- Choose any of the solo game modes on offer.
- Enter a nickname and start playing.
No account is needed, but logging in earns you XP and tokens. If you close the tab or stay inactive for too long, you'll have to start again from the link, so finish in one go if you can.
Solo play
Logged-in users can also practise alone. Open a question set, select Solo, choose a game mode and select New Game. Solo modes include favourites such as Tower Defense, Café, Factory, Crazy Kingdom and Monster Brawl.
Blooket login for students and teachers
The Blooket login page is at id.blooket.com/login. You can also reach it from the Log In link on the join page. Students and teachers use the same page:
- Enter your username or email (1).
- Enter your password (2).
- Select Let's go! (3).
- Signed up with Google? Use the Google button (4) instead. Many schools set up student accounts this way.
- Forgot your password? Use the link (5) to reset it by email.
Teachers land on their dashboard after logging in, where they can create sets, host games and assign homework. Students see their Blooks, stats and tokens.
How to sign up for Blooket

Age rules: Blooket's help center says you need to be at least 13 to create your own account (and older in some countries outside the US). Younger students can use Blooket through their school, with the school's or a parent's consent. They can always join games with just a nickname.
How teachers host a Blooket game
- Log in and open a question set from My Sets or Discover.
- Select Host and choose a game mode.
- Adjust the settings, such as a time or goal limit, random names, late joining and question order.
- Select Host Now and share the Game ID, QR code or join link with the class.
- Select Start when everyone is in the lobby.
Free accounts can host up to 60 players in a live game. Blooket Plus raises that to 300 and adds extra game modes, folders, enhanced reports and homework deadlines of up to a year. Blooket shows current Plus prices at checkout inside your account.
To set homework, open a set and choose the homework option on the set page. Free accounts can set a deadline of up to 14 days.

Blooket join not working? Find your fix
Match the Blooket join problem you see with the fix:
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Game ID doesn't work | Typo, an old code, or the game has ended | Re-type all 7 digits, or ask for the QR code or join link |
| Typed the ID on the wrong site | Using blooket.com or a look-alike site | Use play.blooket.com |
| Can't get into a game in progress | Late joining is off | Ask the host to turn on Allow Late Joining |
| Stuck loading or a blank screen | Ad blocker or extension | Turn off ad blockers and extensions, or try an incognito window |

| "Access blocked" with Google sign-in | Your school's Google Workspace hasn't approved Blooket | Select Request Access. Your school admin has to allow it |
| Game is slow or laggy | Too many tabs, or low power | Close other tabs, plug the device in, clear the cache, turn on hardware acceleration |
| Homework progress lost | The tab was closed or inactive too long | Re-open the homework link and start again |
Blooket runs in the web browser, so you don't need to install anything. There's no official Blooket app. Apps called "Blooket" in app stores are made by other developers.
Fake Blooket sites, hacks and safety
Lots of sites copy the Blooket name to grab clicks, and some ask for your Blooket login or promise free tokens. Official Blooket pages always end in blooket.com:
This check runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. It only reads the domain.
- Hacks and cheats get accounts banned. Blooket's Terms of Use ban cheats, bots, hacks and any code that changes gameplay. Blooket can suspend or delete accounts and may share information with your school. "Free token" and hack sites are also a common way to steal logins.
- Keep your password private, even from friends.
- Use a nickname, not your full name, in live games.
- Privacy: Blooket's Privacy Policy says players who only join games give just a username, the site is ad-free, and Blooket doesn't sell personal data.
