Dr. Vladimir S Kostic is a Professor of Neurology at Medical School of Belgrade and Head of the Movement Disorders Department at the Institute of Neurology CCS of Serbia, has focused his scientific interest in degenerative disorders of the central nervous system, mainly etiopathogenesis and treatment. In the course of his training and subsequent academic carrier he worked apprx. 3 years in the Neurological Institute of the Columbia Univesity (New York; USA) and London. He is the author of 7 textbooks and editor of 12 monographs. He is also the author or co-author of > 250 peer-reviewed papers. He is heading several scientific projects mainly devoted to the genetic background of neurodegenerative disorders.
