Emergency Embolization of a Rupture of the Left Colic Aneurysm

This is a case report of an emergency embolization of a left colic aneurysm performed on a 72 year-old woman. The abdominal CTA scan showed a large retroperitoneal hematoma and an aneurysm of a branch of the inferior mesenteric artery. A selective angiography of the inferior mesenteric artery confirmed an aneurysm of the left colic artery. An endovascular ligation was performed with platinum microcoils.
